Dual Channel

Hi, just a couple of quires about running ram in dual channel.
1) i have heard that the memory has to be the same brand and model and stuff...is this true?
2) and how do i enable dual channel?

Its best to buy a dual channel kits !, they are matched at same speeds and tested to give u the maximum benefit of dual channel mode.

Just plug the RAM sticks into the correct DIMM slots on your mobo and dual channel mode will be enabled !

It's best to have the same brand with the same specs, however youn can mix-match brands (not that it's recommended). As long as they are the same sizes.

Dual Channel should enable automaticaly, as long as you installed the ram in the correct slots. They usually color code the slots so you know which slots to install the RAM in to enable dual channel. However if you have a socket 754 motherboard, they dont support dual channel.
