i have just changed from a 1.9 to a new 2.8ghz mobo. the pc is now running painfully slow, it is not a virus, what i would like to know, with the dual core processor, do you have to have ram in both core slots for the mobo to run at peak effeciency. i have 512 ddr400 in just one of them. i tried moving the ram to the other core slot but that made it run weven slower. if not why is my mobo slower then the 1.9 mobo.

thank you

Read the MOBO Manual, Dual core means having 2 sticks of ram (same size generally) running at their peak. Erase anythings not needed, post a hijack this log. you gave absolutly no info into your problem.
