Higher end workstations usually have dual-socket motherboards. I don't expect any to support a P3 process or though.

ebay, look for some dual socket pentium iii boards, they can be had rather cheap, however not sure how much ram is going to cost for those boards...

The motherboard will likely cost too much. It would be better route to get a low priced motherboard, RAM and processor with more modern technology. Pentium 3 processors are really slow compared to AMD 65 nanometer processors.

Sure, they made all kinds of dual socket PIII boards. Unless you can find a used and dirt cheap one, performance wise its a waste of time.

Yeah, still got some old Pentium I/II/II and AMD K-5/6 around. Hate getting rid of some of the old stuff. Second though, I could have got rid of them a few months ago though. Would have to look around.
