Dual Display For Non Workstation

Hi All,

What is my best option if I wanted to do dual 22" monitors at my desk with a non-workstation laptop?

USB dual video adapter?

Thanks in advance!

I could use a docking station, if the laptop was a workstation with a docking port.

OK well try the USB adapter then. Or perhaps a HDMI/DVI/VGA splitter (depending on what external monitor port your laptop has).

Some consumer-grade laptops can be connected to docking stations - USB docking stations are all the rage these days, just so you know. And you didn't tell us anything about your laptop at all.

I appreciate your responses! I actually did not know about USB docking stations. Doing some research, it seems the best rated dock on the market is the Pluggable UD-3900. This will suit my needs/desires very well. Only downfall is no USB3.0 on my laptop. 2.0 may prove laggy.

And to be fair, I mentioned that I was looking to do this with a non-workstation laptop, so no docking port built in. You're right though, I should have been more clear, it helps me to be helped.

Thanks again, much appreciated!
