Is it possible to run a movie on dual screens, like have the same picture on both screens, everytime i try it, i always have one with the movie on it and the other just a blank screen... thanks, Mitch

yes, you can do it

it looks like crap, tho

No actually you can't because of something with Video overlay. You can do that with games though, but the center is split by the two screens, so it's your call.

Video overlay can cause some issues, but many new video cards still can support both going at once. I know ATI had(I assume they still do) a theater mode where it could show the video on the TV(full screen) while it was still on the computer(full screen or not)

Hmm, yes but that's not the same. Cloning VS spaning.

I have a dual-display system, I've never been able to span video, accept for flash if you count that as video. But games work.

I wonder though, is there, or is it possible, a program that splits video in two and plays them side by side on each monitor imitating spaning across screens?

is that what 3d animators and professional people have where they have a little tv screen hooked up that shows the video playing while the screen they work on is just the program

nah, that's easy to do. He means to be able to see the video both on the monitor and the TV.

i wonder y its not possible, you can mirror a image of anything, but not a movie... not cool lol

you can do it, it's called cinema mode on ATI cards.

and if you're simply trying to stretch the video across both screens, there's a screen saver that can do it called video saver

dual monitor videos are lame...you have to adjust video overlay, what i noticed with ati is that i couldnt have the movie on 1 screen,i had to have them full screen on 1 and in window or full screen on the 2nd...you gotta tweak with alot..and i ended up getting it to work by accident heh,i dont know what i did..i just know its hard.

If you wanna play the movie on TV and computer simultaneously,ATI has theater mode for that.
