Dual Monitor on HP Pavilion w/ ATI radeon xpress200

Hi. I am having a problem with my comp's dual monitor support. I have an hp pavilion with the ati radeon xpress 200m. I also have a madcatz 5" gaming tv with s-video (my comp has svid as well). How can I get it to use my small tv as a second monitor for my flight sim games and just basic email and internet?

Realize SVHS is very bad quality. I seriously doubt much anything would be viewable on a 5" screen using SVHS. The resolution is essentially 720x480, but it is interlaced. It's really not good for anything aside from watching videos.

However, if you still really want to try it, right-click on your desktop and go to proporties. Click the last tab and then click advanced. Within here, you should have a control panel to select your outputs and such. If not, you might need to install a newer copy of the ATI drives (if you're say using the microsoft ones)

When you say it doesn't help, what it lacking? Are the advanced settings not showing up? And yeah, I think hydravision is their mutli-monitor software/drivers.

it's not lacking anything. It just does the same thing as the desktop properties window. I click on the TV icon to activate it or click the "extend my desktop yadda yadda yadda" and nothing happens. Just goes back to normal settings.

Does the option change and stay selected? Does the TV flicker or anything?

Nearly all GPUs with TV-Out will display during the boot process. Try rebooting the computer with the TV connected and see if something displays. This will at least let you know if it's working at all or not. If you still don't get anything, try another cable and/or another TV if possible.

yea, when i select the extend desktop to this monitor button, it refreshes the screen on the main computer like normal and then the check box is empty. I will try the reboot with it connected but I doubt it. The tv I'm trying to use is a MadCatz 5" Gaming screen with RCA and S-Video.
