Hi, I have dual monitors, and a lot of the time, im only using one of them. Is there any software that i can use to put a screensaver on one monitor if im not using it, while im still using the other monitor?

I've found a few programs, but they werent exactly what i was looking for. Any help would be great, thanks.

Freeware is prefered, but not required.

This may seem a bit obvious, but why dont you just turn off the other monitor if it's not in use? Or disable manually?

The thing is, to Windows it sees the monitors as either one giant one (split screen), or two identical ones (cloning), so it doesnt know which monitor you want on, and which one you want off.

yeah....i thought about the whole....turning it off, but that'd take WAY too much energy....i mean i'd have to reach up, press the button, etc...

also, ill probably just do the disable thing (cant beleive i didnt thknk of that)

if you use ultramon, you can have display profiles, that way all you have to do is select the profile (all, right, left) and it will automatically set the monitors the way you want.

for instance, i use all 3 of mine when i'm sitting at my desk, so i have a display profile called "multi" (which also automatically starts when windows starts, so no matter what profile i was using before, every time i restart my computer, all 3 monitors automatically come on) and then i have a "right" setting because when i'm lying in bed watching movies, i only use my right monitor, because it's directly in front of my bed.

i actually found a great program yesterday for my dual monitors

its called iRotate (search for it on google)

im not sure if it does what u want it to do, but it does some things like ultramon does for free....
