i have a regular vga slot then a vga slot that looks like the end of a vga cabel (idk what its called)

are you talking about your card having a vga and dvi output? the blue and the white one? if they are not one each or both white or blue.

Oh you may be talking about a gameport (wich is not for video, but for older humain interface controllers before the USB age).

So what do you mean by stock? Integraded graphics? Usually intergraded only have one output so you would need to by a secondary graphics card in order to acheive dual-display.

You can buy a cheap dvi and vga graphic card, and if both monitors are vga, then use a dvi to vga adapter.

Yup, that will work, My ATI X1300PRO PCI-E does pretty well with extending I extend my desktop to my TV when I am working on a school project.

Assuming you have PCI-Express, that's fine...

Also, assuming you have PCI-Express and the correct chipset, there are some cards that simply add a DVI port to your computer. It still runs off your onboard video, but lets you have two monitors connected to it. I know the Dell Optiplex GX620's I used at the hospital came with them.

Why does my X1300PRO have a VGA, DVI, and an S-Video? I just pop on the S-video to component adapter and run it to my TV and all works out.
