Whats the deal with dual processor mobos? Are they just mobos that can support two processors, so it would be like having a dual core processor with two single core processors? (or 4 cores...:D ) How much more do they cost compared to single core processors, and would it be worth it?

Well, two Processors are better than one! I'm not sure if you can put two dual-core prosessor in a dual processor mobo, but two single-core processors would run really smooth :)

Dual core = 2 cores on the same package (mainstream)
Dual processor = 2 seperate core packages (CPUs) on the same board (server and workstation)

Dual core compatible motherboard = motherboard that suports dual core CPUs (mainstream)
Dual processor motherboard = motherboard with 2 seperate sockets (server and workstation)

Yes you can have a dual core dual processor system, but its usualy only for workstations or servers.

none of y'all read maximum pc do you? this was the whole idea behind their dream machine 06, dual everything, like dual dual core opterons(4 cores), dual tb of hard drive space, etc
