Dual screen one monitor

This may be the dumbest question ever asked, but I guess there's a first for everything. Here goes;

I was wondering if there was a software out that can turn my single monitor(37'') into dual monitors?

Just open the first screen then resize. Make it smaller or in half screen.
Im using firefox. i goto file and choose new window. Resize an take the other half.
Then you can goto any site on each individual screen.
Then again i have dual 24. i will check stock on one or news and visit here often enough.

Yeah, no point as win7 lets you do this already. Just drag the windows to the side and it'll stick there.
