Hey guys, my roommate has a windows 8 pro desktop and he's having trouble with Fallout 3 and new vegas freezing. We've tried all the fixes and it still does it. Since I have a spare XP pro key, he wants to dualboot it.
His windows 8 is on his 120GB SSD and he wants the XP partition to be on his storage drive just to keep the SSD free.
I've heard it's generally best to do the oldest OS first, but I want to know if it's feasible to do it when he has 8 already installed.
Can he just make a partition and install XP, and it'll recognize it as a dualboot? Should he unplug the SSD first?
Thanks for any help.
