Let's say I am tired of ads showing up on my regular browse, like reading newspaper on line, would switching to DDG resolve the issue of being tracked.
Would DDG search result as good as Google?
Appreciate any comments and education.

Changing your search engine wouldn’t change page contents on other websites, although DDG advocates less invasive tracking.

You’d probably have better luck with a dns filtering setup like pihole if you want to decrease ad volume

Would this disable the autofil feature?
I hate to have to login every time I visit my frequent website.
It won't affect anything but block ads. You could should you elect to, whitelist websites that you want to see ads to support them.

I'd use DuckDuckGO over Google any day. UBlock Origin and Privacy Badger to avoid too many ads and too much tracking. If you really want privacy and no personalized adds use Tor Browser. You'll be a new person with each session. It's a bit slower but for many purposes good enough.
