hey all,

i currently run duel 19" monitors, (specs in sig)

i am looking at going to a single 3d monitor, something like this

i have question.

games, stuff like f1 2011, dirt 3, will i be able to play them maxed out, in 3d with my current setup (ie, will i see a performance drop) current res is 1600x900, going upto 1080, there will be some drop i understand, but does the 3d take a big toll?

that's my main fear.

also, will i need anything on top of the monitor, or is the whole thing plug and play? with the nvidia drivers?

finally in your opinion is it worth is, is gaming in 3d as amazing as i can imagine it being?

3D will give you the same performance hit as 2 monitors of the same resolution running.

1366*768*2 (3D) = 2,098,176 pixles running at once (P.A.O.)
1920*1080= 2,073,600 P.A.O.

so as you can see, 3D @ 1366*768 is just barely more demanding than standard 1080p.
