Sorry if this is a dumb question, I had windows ME on my computer, so I rebooted it. and i put Windows xp. I think i did it wrong. Am i supposed to delete Windows ME me first? And I have no sound on my computer now. what should i do?

thanks for the help

You probbably just upgraded the instalation. It should be fine. Installing the sound drivers will fix the problem. If you want to be sure, open up windows media player and try to play a sound file, It should come up with some error like "can't find sound device, Please make sure the drivers are installed properly" or something.

do you have a seperate sound card? or integrated audio? What does it say in your device manager?

During the installation of WXP you hgave have the option of reformatting the destination partition. If you use that option you'll be able to "get rid of" WME :)
