Duplicated folders from C Drive

This is a little hard to explain.

My C Drive has all the normal folders, Program Files, Program Files (x86), all that.

But when I go into my Videos or Pictures folder, all those folders are also there.

And when I right click the folders and click Show folder location, it brings me back to the C Drive, and I have no idea why.

The picture I have shows the Pictures folder, my mistake, but the actual file path it brings you to is Computer --> Local Disk (C:).

What should I do? Should I delete the folders or is there some way of moving them?

They're not actually in the physical folders, they're just in the library. Libraries in Windows 7 are essentially for keeping related files accessible from one location, regardless where the files actually reside (that's why "open folder location" opens C: - that's their actual location where they're stored, the thing in your documents is just an alias). I don't know the exact workings of the library system since I don't use Windows myself, but you can remove things from the library without affecting the actual files.

So they aren't taking up any extra room?
I'm not sure about that. I don't know how exactly the libraries work, but AFAIK Windows does maintain an archive of old copies of the files to make rolling back unwanted changes possible. I don't know if this feature is tied to the library and how much space it takes up if you don't make any changes, but I would imagine the extra room they take is negligible. In any case, there's no reason to keep you program files folder in your library, so you might as well delete it (I don't know for sure if you have to take extra steps not to remove the actual files, though).
