Duracell Rechargeable and Mouse

Hey guys. I have the Microsoft Explorer Mouse and it came with a generic rechargeable AA battery which is no longer working so I bought Duracell Rechargeables. The problem is the Duracell battery is not recharging with the charger that came with the mouse. Can the Durcaell only recharge with a Duracell Charger?
 
Usually as long as you are using rechargeable batteries they will work. However, look at the specs for the charger to see if it will only charge the same brand batteries.
