Dust Inside

What is the best way to clean dust out of inside of computer tower? What precautions should I take? Is can air a good choice? Thanks Smitty

Yes air is a fantastic choice, I clean dusty PCs out with a compressor, does a excellent job. Just hold on to the fans when you point the compressor at them, as they could break if you don't.

Indirectly, yes. Dust is an insulator, so when it clings to the heat-sink, it will keep it from dissipating heat as it normally should. If SmartFan is enabled, they yes, the fans will read the higher temp and spin faster.

yeah a can of compressed air is the best option.

personally i use a vacuum cleaner, but thats a really bad idea cos static could damage your parts

I just unplug my computer, open it up, and spray it down once a monthish. Also for the exterior i just use a damp rag.

Just don't "spray it down" with any liquids

Compressed air is what I use.

it works fine, its made to be nonharmful to your computer
