I have a Phillips DVD+-RW burner that has worked perfectly until recently. It now will read disks, but seems to have trouble writing them. The strange thing is that when I run ActiveISO, it will burn ISO images just fine. I can get ActiveISO to work in both Windows and Ubuntu (using wine) but no other burning software will work in either operating system.
When ActiveISO does it's thing, there is a message that says,
"Sending OPC (Optimum Power Calibration):
"Sending OPC bError"
So I think it might be some sort of voltage/power issue, but I tried the power connector on a different drive it worked fine, enabling burning with the other drive. I also tried using a different power connector and I still have the same issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I can get this thing burning something other than ISO's sometime soon.
