dvd burning

hey, im using my pc to burn DVD's from programmes that i recorded in media center. they do record fine,,,,but the process takes several hours to do so. is this normal, and would a processor upgrade speed up the process??If so, what do you recommend??

how big are your files? for me, 4 GB takes about 1 hour or so...

and how fast is your processor cuz on a 1gz it takes for ever

well the files almost fill the 4.7 gb disc, about 4.5 gb, and it takes at least a couple of hours, but just burning normal files takes no time at all.

are you using something like nero express to turn an avi,xvid,divx etc file into a DVD that will play on any DVD player.

If so yes this does take quite a while, authoring is a long process.

If your just copying the files EXACTLY from computer to DVD then no it should be quicker
