I don't know which type of DVD is good for backup file -R or +R. Some one help please.

And which brand of DVD which is the best to buy? Not expensive.

Usually DVD -R are most compatibily with all.......I suggest to you using them!

And if you want to be sure that your DVDs keeps for long time......VERBATIM is the only certainty.
.....or TDK , but Verbatim is the best....

Expansive is really relative.......you can find also Verbatim at low cost if you search for them!

For data backup, it doesnt matter... compatability is usually and issue with standlones
