DVD Double Layer Burning

hi, i want to burn a double layer dvd and put as many cartoon 30min shows as possible. When i record the shows with my video card i record them as a mpeg, that is equal to about 1.4gb = 30 mins. Is there any way to covert the file to a different format that could be played on a dvd player and also reduce the size of the file but also keep good quaility?

use Dr.Divx for compress ....the quality like dvd (cool man)

or if u like to play it on the dvd player . u need to use super dvd ripper to make it into dvd standar then burn it into nero burning rom (new version)

you can check to see if your player will play vcd or svcd and if they are supported burn them as those, but I don't know how well those formats work on dvd disks
