dvd drive not detected.pls help

hello pals!i wish to seek for ur assistance on resolving a dvddrive that is not detected on my sisters laptop.its hp dv2000,2gb ram,inteldual core @1.7ghz,sata hdd 160gb,win vista 64 bit as o/s.corrective comments well appreciated pls.

Have you try to go into bio and see if it detect the dvd driver. If bio did not detect the dvd, then you may have a loose connection. If Bio detect the dvd but vista os did not then try to download the dvd driver from hp and see if it work.

Give us the update how it goes.
