Hi,

I recently reformatted my PC with XP Pro. And now my Second DVD drive is not getting recognised. I have the one from the Factory which a normal CD that works. But not the Second underneath which is for DVD. I went to Cmos and second Drive it says "None" any helps how to fix the problems will be much appreciated.

Most likely its a jumper issue. Are they IDE or SATA? IF IDE then put the master drive on the end of the cable and the slave drive on the middle connector and set jumpers accordingly.

Make sure it's powered too. My neighbor was complaining his drive wouldn't open... took me like 8 seconds to figure it out. (should've taken less)

Thank you guys for your quick responses.

The Connectors are SATA and the power is on.

Any others thing I can try??
