DVD drive problems

okay so both my dvd drives are not playing for some reason, they dont show up in my computer and when i go to device manager they both have explanation points by them. Whats wrong? Need Help.

2. It ignores the hekk out of us and we sometimes ignore your thread completely.

Have you uninstalled anything recently? What is the details when you check the properties the exclamation points? It seems like their drivers are missing or corrupted. Have you done anything recently that could of caused this? Uninstall/install/delete/?
 
maybe one of the drives is shot

in theory, it shouldn't happen, but one bad drive on an ide channel can cause the other drive to act weird, too
