This dvd drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo says in the details that its supports up to vista.. does it still support windows 7, will it still work perfectly on windows 7?

I'm sure the drive itself is Win 7 compatible. The drive comes with some software utilities which may or may not run under Win 7 but my guess is that if they are Vista compatible then they most likely are Win 7 compatible as well.

It will work with W7.

Dvd drives are not something that you get much problem with compatibility

I never installed a driver for one, just bolt it in and it should work fine as is.
It will work fine with 7.
