Trying to backup data hdd but I can't seem to have boot and data hdd's connected and have DVD burner recognized by Windows. I can remove the data drive and then win2k recognizes the DVD burner. Does this sound like a BIOS issue.
I think it could be a motherboard issue if it only allows a certain amount of IDE devices. Have you tried putting in the dvd rom drive in and changing its drive letter to one above and then plugging them both in? Do they show up as the same drive letter when one of them are plugged in?
