Yasu New Member Sep 3, 2006 #3 There really isn't a "best" CD/DVD drive for gaming because games don't run off the CD except for the "game play" CD, which is for security purposes I assume. The games run off the HDD instead of CD/DVD(there may be some exceptions for older games).
