DVD Over-written

Is there any way to reover data from an over-written dvd.......I had a dvd with some data on it (i burned it using Nero Express) and then i added some more data to it (using Nero Burning ROM) and to my surprise my previous data was lost.............Is there any thing to do with burning a disk twice once using Nero Express and then using Nero Burning ROM...........Also can i recover the lost data?

Any help would be appreciated!!
 
Put the DVD in, go to my computer and right click on the drive and click explore and see if the files show up
 
It sounds like you multi-sessioned it. When you click on the drive letter in windows explorer is there a change session (or something like that) option? I rember doing the same thing years ago. Good luck!

no. there is no such option as "change session"..

Also. i noticed that the size of the data in the dvd is 1.66gb whereas when i open the dvd in nero for further writing it shows the size of the data in the dvd as 3878mb....

Does this mean that the data is there on the disk but is hidden from me?
If yes, then how do i get it back?
