DVD playback problems

When trying to watch a dvd it plays slow, video and sound both. I can save the disk to the hard drive and then watch it with Power dvd and all is good. Is this a drive problem? Seems really slow at copying the dvd to hard drive, about 2 hours.

athlon 64 3500
1 gr ram

well don't burn them, that's illegal. But as for drive problems, try a different drive, put a new one in if you have to. that all I can think of.
 
I didn't say you were, just saying don't. Like I also said, try a different drive in the computer. Maybe its just going bad.
