dvd problem

i just downloaded and installed linux 7.10 studio which looks amazing by the way. well i want to play a dvd and it wont open the movie, it detects it fine and everything, but it wont play it. help

Let me start by saying I do not really know anything about linux, but it sounds like you need a codec for it. Do a search for your linux version and for codex's for it.
