DVD problems, maybe software

I have a TSST Corp CD/DVDW TS-H552D burner. Had it for a year and didn't try the DVD burner till yesterday. I was trying to burn an audio file from the net. Tried Deep Burner, Real Player, Win Media Player and finally Nero before I got a burn. Then it would only play in Real Player, would not play in my DVD player or anything besides Real Player on my computer.

I checked an on line forum about this model and others are having problems too. Is there a software fix for this or would I be better with a different burner, and which one..

try updating ur drivers... caution : create a rollback driver

Checked the driver updates, sez " you have the most up to date drivers" ..............

is the drive still under warranty? consider replacement

Check this page for updates. And like adarsh said, create a rollback first. Flashing your drives is easy but tricky.
