Hi! Just built this pc and it all works perfectly. Before i put everything together I handled the dvd drive without thinking of static and put it in the case 1-2 weeks before i put all the stuff together. Now when I press the little Eject button, the LED shines green a few seconds and then nothing happens. Is the optical drive ruined? I'm thinking it's because I touched it without discharging my static buildup (Especially because im on a carpet right now - And no, I didn't build the computer on carpet). Could this be why?

Try using a paper clip to manually open the drive. Sometimes they are just a little stiff and need to be opened/closed a few times manually to loosen them up.
I doubt if your handling the unit caused a problem. As john35 said, the belt may be broken or slipped off or maybe you simply got a defective unit.
