DVD Ripping on a CD burner

I have a DVD that my family wishes to rip, its not movies or anything like illegal. Its a home movies that one of my relative bought over with them. Now that i explain that part, I want to know if ripping a DVD on a cd burner is possible. If so how can it be done.

afraid not, there are programs that can fit DVD movies onto a CD-r but you have to have at least a DVD-ROM drive to read the disc in the forst place, sorry.

You can convert it to VCD or SVCD on a cd but like said above you need a DVD-rom to load it

yup, as other's said you need a DVD drive, it doesn't need to be a burner, any regular drive can just rip.

If its not copyrighted, Nero can rip it, then you can encode it to a CD.
