Is it possible to watch dvd movies on a this type of drive because it is currently installed in my car and I want to find a way to watch movies on it?

I don't understand your question... It almost seems like your asking if you can play an audio CD on a CD-Player... If it's a DVD ANYTHING, it can play video DVDs.

yeah hard to understand, but the idea I get is this: You want to take your car's DVD player out of the car and watch it on your TV or PC, right?

Sorry for all the confusion but I just want to watch dvd videos in my car but I believe it won't be possible because the DVD-Rom drive was made to read not play DVD components.

Read and Play means the same thing, Record and Write is the same. If its a DVD player it will play a DVD, it might not be able to play every format.
