DVD +/- RW drives

Waht would you say is a good make/brand for a DVD-RW drive, im looking at a pioneer drive, is that a good make, i know SONY drives are getting unbeliveably shoddy unless you go to the real high end, and i thin NEC makes good drives, any suggestions??
