DVD RW or DVD Reader

Hey,
I have two dvd rw drives and I just recently got my first dvd game, It wont run in either of them. The game installed correctly but when I went to run the game it says the disk isnt in the drive.

btw its battlefield2, the drives are a pioneer 106 and a liteone, both 4x.
I tried both no luck, also no virtual emualtion software installed.

Do I need just a plain dvd reader to play these games?
 
DVD burners are compatable with basically any form of CD media.

Have your letters changed around anytime recently? I have a game that'll only work in one DVD, the one I installed it on. If you try to use another drive, it simply wont work.

I was just changing settings, I turned off DLA that came with sonic burning software. I disabled it and it worked... wierd.
 
it doesnt really matter if the game is a copy it should still play the same copyied correctly!!!!....Maybe your disk is a dvd - and your burner only plays dvd + disks or the other way about ... Not sure tho

copied games wont play unless they have a no cd crack. if you install a copied game, then try and run it off the cd, itll say please insert correct disc
