can anybody name some software that will take a avi. file and turn it into a dvd that is 4:3 soo that i can actully watch the movie instead of sittin there squinting my eyes. thx

You can convert your .avi file to a "vcd" or a "svcd" using various programs such as tmpgenc and then burn them to some cds

CCE, TMPGEnc, Moonlight Encoder etc Many beginners like TMPGEnc cuz its free and easy to use.
