I have a dvd that refuses to read, when I insert it in the drive it makes a clicking sound as it is going around, like it is hitting something inside every revolution or something. I have tried other disks in the same drive and they do not make this sound, so it is not the drive. I have also tried the problem disk in other computers and it also makes this sound in them. So it is definitely something to do with the disk. I wouldn't worry about it however my computer has recently had a hard drive failure and all my important financial data has been lost and when I tried to load it up from the backup dvd this happened ! I cannot see anything wrong with the dvd, looking at the edges in particular, does anyone what is causing this and how to fix ?? thanks, Andrew .
