DVI and VGA

Would there be any difference if i was to connect my DVI input on my monitor to a VGA output on my pc? right now i have analog to analog? would there be any difference?

I've used both on my LCD and I really can't tell a difference in quality. All that I can tell is difference is that it automatically adjusts to the correct size. With VGA, the monitor must adjust itself to fill the screen.
