DVI monitor

I just purchased a LG W2241T monitor and it had the DVI cable already attached, first time I ever saw one, I hooked up my pc to the standard VGA connector and all seems well. Would I gain something by putting a DVI video card in my pc, any thoughts and suggestions?

You might get a little better resolution but thats it. No performance increase or anything.

You might find the image is a little more crisp using a digital interface. It's more prominent at higher resolutions like 1080p.

I have the same Dell monitor at work side by side with one on VGA and one on DP, the difference is definitely noticeable.

You will be able to tell a difference, and if you are a gamer and buy a good GPU for gaming, you will have a definite performance boost also.
