DVI to HDMI cable dif?

i am connecting my pc to my 50" plasma and looking at best buy for cables and my question is there are cables for $60 and there are once up to $200.. Does it really make a difference quality wise?

Cuz i know when i got HDTV for my 50" i bought cables for $100 from best buy, but when instalation guy came out he said it makes no difference and that $100 wires just look good(they sure did look better then the cheap looking white once)...
 
i've got $30 dvi cables from newegg, and they're fantastic, and LOOONG

if at all possible, i'd just go a few days without hooking it up, so you can get better prices online.

and as for the price difference, it's possible that the cheaper cable isn't compliant with the copyprotection that the hd/blu-ray dvd's use (i don't remember the name :()
