DVI to monitor question

I don't know how that monitor works, but with my viewsonic, it automatically detects the input, using the DVI as the main source. My old Radeon(which had DVI and VGA like that) seemed to also automatically detect which port was being used.

Are you sure your computer is working ok? Could you try VGA?

ok i got DVI to work,.... but i plug in VGA into my second computer and when I try to switch to VGA, it shows nothing in vga mode and switches back to dvi after 6seconds or so... how do i make my other computer light up in vga hrmmmmmm

Try VGA as suggested. There has been cases where people had trouble with the DVI output on their cards. By the sounds of it you are doing everything correct. Also as mentioned, I'd suggest that it should detect it automatically.

ok it worked... nice, it's like kvm switch now but so much easier to switch from the monitor... sweeet :D

Hehe, I guess you're using your monitor as a KVM switch...basically? I do the same thing between my macintosh and main PC ;)
