DX Error 15?! JC2

On my laptop (dont say I need a new laptop, its fully capable of running JC2) I get Fatal DirectX error code 15. I used steam and it automatticly downloaded right DX, and I also ran the DX web setup. So what is up?

Download and install this http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 worked for me when I had DX issues with JC2.

JC2 is demanding btw. It won't play properly at 1280x1024 on a 9800 GT I found.

Yeah, it is kinda demanding, but I have seen it run with a i5M and HD 3000. Anyways, will try that now.

Yeah I think you need to download the file, extract it, then find a 'Setup.exe' or something. There is an exe file there which installs everything all for you.

did you give me the wrong link? Becaus its not a folder, its just a .exe. Were should I install it to? The folder?

Yeah it's an exe which self extracts. Install to anywhere I think, then all the files including the exe to set it up will be in the folder.

What are the specs of this machine?

Its a Inspiron N5010 with a i5 M480, HD 3000 (yes, i have ran JC2 on HD 3000 before just fine, no prob), and 8 gb ram.

Hm... I'm not really sure what's up. I doubt JC2 runs on an HD 3000 though. Certainly didn't run well at all on the 3000 before I had my 5870.
