DX10 setup. not getting it

hey, i have been having problems with crysis. the black screen of death or whatever. it happens when i start the program, just black. so i contro-alt-delete and it says "crysis has stopped working". so my friend said try re-downloading graphix card drivers and that didnt work. so i think it might be dx9 thats messing it up. so i want dx10. i cant figure out how to get it though. help me out please, and this is my problem discussed on crysis forums....

to get DX10, you need to get Vista.

I doubt thats the problem.

I Played Crysis on my rig, and its DX9...

Maybe its something else
