E-mail error

...after checking my e-mail on both my Gmail and Yahoo accounts I have noticed e-mail that was sent to me on Friday but I am receiving it today, funny thing is that I checked it on Saturday and no new e-mails, until today... any else experiencing this internet oddity?
 
Could it be someone spamming you?
Because if you bounce emails along several routers than it would take a day or two
Also, maybe the servers were down and they had to postpone all email delieveries

Doubt it... if all other programs are working with internet, including all other sites with internet explorer, it doesn't seem even possible that ISP would have any relation with the E-mail servers.
 
It wouldn't and thats definately not the problem because all your email messages (if your using gmail and yahoo) is saved on their servers and wouldn't affect the date of arrival
The best explanation that i can think of (although not the most logical) is that the servers had to be temporarily down for updates and fixes which would have delayed your messages, although the chances of both these servers being down at the same time are extremely slim to none
