The motherboard i bought has an OEM bios, so there go my overclocking hopes. I currently have the E4300 but i have the option and enough money to buy a E5200, would it be worth it? the E4300 is 65nm, the E5200 is 45nm.
Also the E5200 is clocked at 2.5ghz, vs. 1.8ghz. Both of them have 2MB of L2 cache.

Does anyone have any experience with these two processors? I will mainly be gaming so i'm thinking the E5200 will be better because of the clock speed.

e5200 is a better cpu, more instruction sets, more effecient, as well as higher clockspeed, so yes. What board do you have? The one in your sig? Some boards can be unlocked to overclock...

Yes, its the board in my sig. It has an Acer BIOS.

EDIT: So, if i wanted to overclock would i just flash the BIOS with a non-oem version for this board?
