E5200 and GTX 260

as far as i can tell yes(right now i'm on a [email protected] with a gtx 285) and that gets bottlenecked, i think it also got bottlenecked with a gtx 260 core 216 before i got the 285

I don't get the whole bottleneck theory...obviously a better CPU always help but where can you prove a 3.0ghz dual-core is bottlenecked by a 260?

iirc just a noob gets a score in 3dmark06 lower than mine..and i only have a 9800gtx, if the cpu doesnt have enough processing power it will hold back the true capabilities of the gpu.
 
That is right. When I got my new computer together, I ran some games with CPU at 2.5GHz, then overclocked it and memory and I got about 15-20 fps more and games stopped being choppy.
