e6400 vs q6600

e6400 vs q6600
i know the q6400 takes the cake in massive multitasking, but what about normal usage, does the q6400 quad core still outpace the duo core?

these are both about the same price range, i want to make sure i get the one that makes the most sense for me.

I may be wrong, but I thought the E6850 was in the same price range as the Q6600. Anyhow, the Q6600 is definitively better now and in the future than the E6400.

Now, if you are talking about the E6850, then its a little different, because I believe (someone correct me if I am wrong) that the Core 2 Duo performs better in most applications because there are virtually no applications meant for quad core yet.

yeah you say q and e for both 6600 and 6400. i dont understand it

is a no brainer since the q6600 has a faster stock speed to begin with and two extra cores. and 4 times the cache
