E6700 and QX6700

I know that the Core 2 Exteme QX6700 is better but how much better? Is it really worth paying almost $500 more then the E6700? And also how much better is the Core 2 Extreme QX6700 then the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600?

It is a lot better. It has unlocked multipliers, as well as being quad core. Is it worth the extra money? that's you to decide.

Between the Q6600 and the QX6700, there isn't a huge difference, other than a slight drop in clocks and not having the unlocked multi's.

i love my quad core, fast as hell.

and i suck at overclocking, i got it to 3.5

As Jet said, the EX6700 is better then the E6700, it has unlocked multipliers and is effectively two E6700's combined.
