E7400

Hey guys. Is the intel core 2 duo e7xxx series of cpus better than the e6xxx? I have a e7400 (pretty fast btw) and im hoping that it is better than the e6xxx series. On the benchmarks I don't see it listed so I cant see how it matches up with the e6850 (maybe because it's still new).

yes, the e7400 beats out the e6850. it has 1mb less cache, and it is 200mhz slower but it still beats the 6850.

As processor manufacturers refine technology the central processing units get faster per clock cycle. An E7400 processor is able to perform more calculations per clock cycle than an Intel E6850.
